How to use Tidy's integration with Microsoft Teams
*To use this function you need Tidy 2 enabled for your organisation. If you dont yet have Tidy 2 enabled, please read Get started - How to get Tidy 2.
All data present within Tidy 2 will be visible within your current Tidy account, and vice-versa.
This integration enables you to easily send message updates and information from your Tidy account, directly into a Team within your Microsoft Teams environment.
Use this integration to further increase the visibility of your projects and material expenditure to members of your team.
Sending a message to a connected Microsoft Teams account can currently be done on the Material Entry and Sales screen.
Clicking this button will open a pop-up screen related to the sale or material entry you have selected. This pop-up enables you to write a message and send it to the related team within your Microsoft Teams account.
There are two drop-down fields. The drop-down lists lets you choose the team and the channel to send the message to. Tidy gets the team and channels from your Microsoft Teams account, so you will see all the teams and channels presented in Tidy.
Within the Body section of the pop-up screen is where you can write a message to accompany the subject to be sent to the corresponding channel and team within Microsoft Teams.
Then, once you have confirmed the message you would like to write, click on Send to Teams.
You will then see the message appear within the Team and Channel that you chose within your Microsoft Teams account.
Members of your team can then reply, and view the project you are mentioning, enabling more effective communication within your organisation.
Future Enhancements of this integration:
- Additional screens where the message button is displayed
- The ability to "mention" and "add" projects and information from Tidy to a message within Microsoft Teams.
